Staff at Kensington vet are knowledgeable., polite, friendly and courteous. I am sorry I did not find them sooner, but very glad I finally did!!!

The entire amazing and caring staff dropped everything they were doing to help our tragically injured cocker spaniel. They spent the entire rest of their day, approximately 6 hours, fighting to save the life of our beloved little Alyssa. At the last possible moment she regained some conscienceness so that we could take her to an emergency hospital in Sorrento Valley. Unfortunately she did not survive, but their heroic efforts made it so that she was able to wake up to allow us to say "We love you" and our goodbyes to our wonderful, 12 year old, baby girl.

Very accommodating and knowledgeable staff. From the phone to the many doctors there, my dog Teddy was always able to feel cared for and nothing was rushed or forced on us. Dr Rose was our primary doctor and she has been wonderful to work with. My dog doesn't warm up to many people but she has a way of gaining his trust and she takes the time to explain, in detail, what his problems are and how we can fix them. Her follow up is amazing. The best Vet I have ever worked with, hand down!

We had a fantastic experience at Kensington! The staff was warm and incredibly helpful and answered all our questions about our newly adopted kittens. Our kittens were calm and at ease while in their appointment and you can tell it’s because of how much care the staff treated them with! We trust them to help us keep our cats happy and healthy the rest of their lives.

I recently switched veterinarians to Kensington Animal Hospital and they are wonderful. The front desk staff and techs are kind and helpful, and go the extra mile. Dr Junco was amazing and really takes his time and listens. I’m so happy to have found them

Dr Hayes and the entire team are excellent here. We are very grateful to have a vet that we trust and that our TimTam likes to come to. The care here is great and their concern for pets is extremely evident. We highly recommend coming here. The pricing is transparent and more than worth it for the level of care.

I must say... my dog is 2.5 years old and I've been going to KVH the entire time I've had Reese. As a new and first time pet owner... KVH makes everything a breeze. Not to mention, when necessary, they have ALWAYS been able to fit us in for a check up. They are flexible, kind and work with you. Our family and dogs love Dr. Junco. He's the best! Great energy with our dogs and he provides us reliable, solid guidance and care for furry family members. KVH's staff is also very organized and has great communication at a time when that seems to be a challenge for other veterinarians.

Dr. Ronai cared about my cat Luc's needs, but he also listened to my financial limitations. So we agreed upon a treatment plan that accommodated both. (My previous vet did a lot of upselling and then gave me a guilt trip when I could not afford it.) Dr. Ronai was kind to both my pet and me. I know that Luc is in caring, excellent hands.

I’ve been to quite a few vets with my dog and this was my first time at Kensington- the amount of care and attention Boba got during his check up was fantastic. You can tell the staff care about animals and really took the time to get to know my dog. Fair prices and looking forward to Kensington being our regular vet.

Dr Gossard & other vets, techs, & entire staff treat my pet & me like family. They're the best! Recent visit: Dr Gossard is very professional, thorough, kind, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. Dr Seitz is amazing. She has been professional, extremely knowledgable, flexible, and caring while helping to stabilize our cats diabetes and reassuring our entire family for a couple of years now. Dr Gossard has also been very supportive & knowledgable in helping us. The entire staff has been wonderful.

Kensington Vet has taken excellent care of three dogs so far and do a wonderful job. Dr Tonya Gossard is so knowledgable and so sweet and manages to make our scaredy cat Hugo more comfortable.

All Dr. and vet techs are genuinely caring about the well being of your pet. I have never had a visit be anything short of amazing and have always been taken care of. The doctors personally email you after your visit to give you the summary of your visit and send links of recommendations of supplements for your animal. I feel very lucky that this vet is in the neighborhood!

I have a rescue German Shepherd who is reactive. Dr. Junco took great care of us and got my reactive dog to approve of him!

We are so grateful for KVH! We've been bringing our dog here for about 3 years and have consistently had wonderful experiences with the doctors, techs, and reception staff. We have full confidence in KVH and have felt so at ease with entrusting their team with our girl's health and well-being. Our pup recently got her dental cleaning done, and I was so impressed by the level of thoughtfulness and care that was taken. I was nervous for her to go under general anesthesia and received multiple updates from the team throughout the day, letting me know she was okay before and after her cleaning. We were even presented with the most adorable "Brave Patient Award" when we picked her up (courtesy of the amazing tech, Lindsay)! We could not recommend this practice more!

We love KVH! Whether its our super friendly, people-loving pup who thinks going to the vet is a playdate, or our super nervous, cautious pup who is terrified and works on her best statue impression, KVH always makes us feel welcome and well cared for. We love that you offer alternative therapies like accupuncture and we very much appreciate that it's fairly easy to make appointments and be seen in a timely manner, especially when there's a concern. From the front desk staff, to the vet techs, and doctors everyone makes us feel like family and the care provided is top notch. Thanks KVH, we love you!

I took my cat Jonesy in for his first visit and the staff was wonderful! I didn't feel pressured to get any unnecessary vaccines or treatments. Communication has been easy and they're in a very convenient location for me. It seemed like the staff there genuinely cared about my little guy and gave me plenty of time and opportunity to ask any questions I had.

Positive, happy, helpful ladies at the front desk…so refreshing! Dr. Hayes is the kind of doctor I pray for. Kind, efficient, great listener and smart! She goes above and beyond for my two pups. I absolutely trust her and I’m very cynical.

Kensington Vet is fabulous. They respond quickly to inquiries and get me and my cat in, quickly, always. My cat Cresta has chronic kidney disease (recently diagnosed once we changed vets to Kensington). The docs and the techs at K Vet are compassionate and could not be more caring. Dr. Mason is retired but I was lucky enough to meet her and she treated Cresta originally at K Vet but since she retired, we've seen a couple of the techs who been wonderful in helping me learn how to administer fluids to Cresta and reminding me of the importance of giving Cresta her special CKD diet and meds. I don't think my cat would still be alive and living a good life if it weren't for K Vet and their great staff. A shout out to Paula, Elizabeth and Kristina and thank you for all you do.

The folks at Kensington Veterinary Hospital are always so thoughtful and caring. Dr. Gossard added an extra appointment to the start of her day to see Pepper. They always go over all of the options and costs and confirm that it is something I can financially undertake before proceeding. I trust that they are not suggesting unnecessary procedures. Pepper is always so well loved. I am so grateful.

I can not say enough good things about the great care our pets receive at Kensington Veterinary Hospitals. When my husband and I met, we had six animals between the two of us! Each pet has been given wonderful care. They were very supportive when our dog was diagnosed with skin cancer, by our side every step of the way with guidance and support through the process. When our new kitten developed a deadly disease they guided us to providers who diagnosed and they cheered us on as we undertook a lengthy treatment plan. Now our older cat has developed diabetes, the help and support as we manage has been amazing. After hour calls to update us and reassure us, the kindness of the staff and doctors is amazing.

Our family cats have been patients at Ken Vet for decades. They have always received the best and gentlest care, with referrals to excellent specialists whenever needed. All the vets and staff are kind, conscientious, and professional. We are lucky to have them in our community.

I have been going to Kensington Vet for close to 18 years now. They are an amazing vet office. Well above and beyond any other I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredibly caring and truly tries to help in whatever way they can. The doctors are excellent and go the extra mile to really find out what’s happening with our little fur babies. I cannot recommend them enough.

We have been clients at KVH for 24 years over three different dogs. We brought our newest addition in for her first wellness exam last week with Dr. Ronai. We have had so many services over the years from routine exams to grooming to emergencies and major dental work. Everyone has been consistently outstanding.

All of the vets have been great but especially Dr. Michele Mason. Dr. Mason has been there since we started and is wonderful. She helped to quickly identify a serious issue with our dog Alvin a few years ago and suggested bringing him to VCA for emergency surgery, very likely saving his life. Dr. Mason (as well as Dr. Ungar and Dr. Jordan) also provided outstanding care to our beloved first dog Wilma from her first visit to the end of her life.

My only issue with them is their phone system. Periodically, messages are left and not returned. I find it’s much better to wait and speak with someone live or send an email.

Other than that, they are awesome and an amazing service to have right here in Kensington.

We have two dogs. One refuses to walk by the front doors of the office without going in for a treat and our other pup, who would shake and cry at every other vet, now just calmly walks in at Kensington Veterinary Hospitals and patiently waits her turn. Clearly their actions say everything about how this office treats our dogs. The care and time the staff provides them and the time they spend with us explaining treatments or medicines is beyond anything we have experienced before.

We’ve been taking our babies to Ken Vet for the past twenty years and couldn’t be more satisfied with their continued professionalism and compassion. The staff and Drs are supportive and caring people and I have a hard time imagining taking our babies to any other vet. Anyone who complains about pricing should consider that you would be nard pressed to find competitive pricing that equals the kind of care you receive.

Being new to the San Diego area I did not expect locating a reliable Veterinary clinic as difficult as it has been. Before finding Kensington, I had my dog to two other clinics for both routine and urgent care. Fees charged by both, for poor care and lack of concern for my pet, far exceeded Kensington's. In addition, I received calls from the Kensington Vet following visits, which were not routine, to check on my pet. I in turn made calls to the clinic which were answered in a timely manner, if not immediately.

I highly recommend Kensington Veterinary Hospital for your pets care.

Since my chocolate lab (Jake) was a puppy (2009) and for his entire life, the incredibly caring and competent veterinarians and staff at Kensington Vet have been overseeing his health and well being and did a truly wonderful job. He made it to 15 years old and with the good guidance of Kensington Vet, was a happy and healthy pup for all of those years.

Throughout his time there, he saw most every doctor at Kensington Vet including Dr. Gossard, Dr. Seitz, Dr. Unger, Dr. Valdez and Dr. Mason. They were all so kind, gave him lots of love and the best care you could ask for (even if that meant recommending that we see a specialist elsewhere).

For his last 5 years or so, he mostly saw Dr. Gossard as she also does the acupuncture treatments (which really helped with his arthritis). Her incredible kindness and caring bedside manner felt like Jake was as much her dog as he was ours. You can’t ask for more than that from your vet.

I also really appreciated the fact that over his lifetime they didn’t oversell or overprescribe for his care. They would always layout options and give us recommendations (mostly from a holistic perspective), which I really appreciated as other vets often overprescribe. Thankfully, Jake was rarely medicated until his last year or so when he needed it to manage pain.

Dr. Gossard and her entire staff are one of the big reasons why my pup lived a happy and healthy life to the ripe old age of 15 and I’m so grateful to them for that. I recommend Kensington Vet with my highest praise and when I’m ready for my next dog, they will definitely be my veterinarian of choice.

Our 4 pets (2 cats and 2 dogs) all go to Kensington Vet (bonus: they give a discount to families with 4 or more pets) and we love the care they receive. We’ve been going to KV for approximately 3 years and don’t plan on switching anytime soon!

The vets we’ve received care from (Gossard, Mason, and Seitz) are wonderful. They all have an incredible general knowledge, each has a specialty that allows you to get the care you want (including acupuncture!), and they consult one another about the best care plans. The techs are all intelligent and incredibly caring about our pets. And the reception team deserves sainthood for how they handle everyone’s (including my own!) craziness, the volume of people they see, and how quickly they can get you in and out.

What I especially like is that their care isn’t limited to the actual appointment itself. They do follow-up calls and emails to see how your pets are doing, they are responsive over emails to help understand when a visit is needed or if something can be done at-home, they’re very communicative about upcoming appointments or when your wellness visits are due, and they even proactively coordinate with other vets and clinics to ensure your pet receives the best care outside of their own care.

While most of our visits to KV have been routine (thankfully), one of our cats was attacked by a dog recently, and we ended up making 26 visits to Kensington Vet between August and November (in addition to hospitalization at an emergency clinic). So to say that we know what the KV team is like is an understatement! And there honestly wasn’t a single time in all the 26 visits that we didn’t receive the same love and care that I’ve written about above. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. We’re forever grateful to them!

Staff was friendly and patient with me and my dog Buddy. Dr. was above and beyond compassionate given my obvious state of disorientation and Buddy's apprehension. Indeed the transition from Arizona has been rough but this visit brought a sense of relief and comfort for both me and my dog.

I had two dogs, both made it to 18 years old with Kensington Vet taking care of them. I didn't hesitate when I adopted my bully Rizzo to continue with them as his vet. They have been great with him as well as he is now 8 years old and going strong.

Dr. Sise, Geena, Lynet and Paula and Destiny we're fantastic. Scooby couldn't have been in better hands. I was surprised that My Scooby cat responded so well to them and their caring attention. Very personable and informative pet care.

Recently moved to this office from the Kearny Mesa vet office and the experience has been so much better all around. From the vet techs to the doctors, to the office and communication itself, I have no complaints.

I've had a few routine checkups and a dental procedure here for my pet, and before/during/after each of those appointments, communication has been frequent, clear, and friendly. I also don't ever feel pushed to do anything that isn't necessary or that I'm being "upsold" like I have at other offices.

My pet had one dental procedure before at a different vet and was messed up for a week or two with GI issues from the anesthesia they used. This time around, he recovered within a day with no issues. Really happy with my experience so far!

Kensington was our Vet until we moved a few miles away. We then worked with a couple other Vets in our new area and none could measure up. When our new Vet could not figure out what was wrong with our dog, we went back to Kensington where Dr. Seitz and staff quickly made a proper diagnosis. At such a crucial time we were grateful to have such a knowledgeable, compassionate pet hospital. I repeated questions, I asked for details, I kept calling and they promptly called back – every time. Not only did the vet techs call us lots of times, but the Doctor called us many times and practically held our hand through the whole process. If we ever have any more fur babies, KVH will be our Vets from start to…

We have been taking our cats to them for several years. We have nothing but praise for Kensington Vet. We have have had to cats with special needs and they have helped us with them. We used to live with in walking distance but when we moved (about a 30 min drive) we kept our cats with them as we like their service that much. If you live in the are they are highly recommended.

When I got my dog, it was not easy to choose a vet. I got recommended Kensington Veterinary Hospital by some dog owners at the dog park so, I went for it. And I couldn't be happier. Always welcoming, very gentle with my dog. My dog is not even scared to go there! She knows she'll receive love and treats :D You can see they love animals and know how to handle them. What I particularly like is that they give you options on treatments, whatever you feel more comfortable with. They explain clearly, in details what's up and I never feel left in the dark. And they always check on the pet after an appointment to ensure everything is alright. We couldn't be happier to have found them!

Love how caring they are for my 13 year old Jeckyll. They have given me the one thing a pet owner wants with their pet...time. I cant thank Dr. Ungar enough.
