Owner of Kensington Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Tonya Gossard graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2013 and then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery before she joined the team at KVH in 2015. Her and her husband, Greg purchased Kensington Veterinary Hospital in January 2021.
She is a native Minnesotan and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was there that she met her future husband Greg. Looking for a change of scenery, they ventured to San Diego and 18 years later, are still happy to call this city home. They find themselves very busy with their two children, George (5.5), Sam (2.5) and one more on the way (arriving soon!) They also recently added a golden retriever puppy named Stevie and have a one-eyed cat named Gatsby. Life is full and beautiful. Outside of work, the Gossard family loves to travel and enjoy all the outdoor lifestyle that San Diego has to offer.
Dr. Gossard is trained in TCM and acupuncture and has special place in her heart for geriatric medicine. She finds it a great honor to love and care for you and your pets, throughout their lives. Dr. Gossard’s priority as a veterinarian is to honor and share in the sacred human-animal bond and cherishes the opportunity to be a part of your family.
