Rose was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and after high school ventured south to attend the University of California, San Diego earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Not wanting to leave San Diego after college, she stayed working as a general manager at Jamba Juice and then as an insurance agent with State Farm. Realizing neither avenue was her truest passion, Rose decided to follow her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts and completed her senior/clinical year of veterinary school at the University of California, Davis graduating with highest honors. Following graduation, she was given the wonderful opportunity to join a small animal general practice hospital in Northridge, California before starting her intense 1-year small animal rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego. Dr. Rose has always wanted to stay working in small animal general practice and upon completing her internship went to work at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Poway for 3 years. Since her internship days, she has always been interested in working at Kensington Veterinary Hospital and was thrilled when the opportunity presented itself. Dr. Rose joined the KVH family at the start of 2021 and could not be more excited! She is not only passionate about helping her patients, but also looks forward to making a connection with her patient’s owners as she knows that someone’s pet is part of their family. Her special interests include dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, she is spending time with her husband, their 2-year-old daughter, and their dog Sarge (a Black Lab/Border Collie) and fluffy brown tabby cat CB (or “Kiki” as their daughter refers to him!). Dr. Rose is very much looking forward to meeting and working with all your families for many years to come.
