Julie

My name is Jules and I’ve been working in a grooming salon since 2011 and love it so much I plan on grooming for the rest of my life! I love making pets look pretty and feel great and educating owners on the health benefits of regular grooming. I love all dogs (cats too!) big and small, but my favorite breeds to groom are Poodles and Poodle mixes, Bichons, terriers, and Shih Tzus. I also love grooming Portuguese Water Dogs. I have my certification in animal psychology which, along with lots of patience and love, helps me handle pets that aren’t the biggest fans of grooming. My favorite part of this job is seeing how happy the owners are when they see their furry friends all cleaned up and looking (and feeling) their best.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a Pet Dermatology class which allows me to develop a grooming plan that targets each individual pets needs. I also collaborate with the veterinarians on the more severe skin problems our pets struggle with to ensure the best care possible.

This year I also received my Fear Free certification! If you’re not familiar, the mission of the Fear Free certification program is to “prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in the pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them.” For more information visit their website at https://fearfreepets.com/about/what-is-fear-free/.
