Concierge Appointments at Kensington Veterinary Hospital
The emergence of Covid-19 has forced many changes in our day to day lives. This includes how we take care of pets at Kensington Veterinary Hospital. Thank you for taking a few moments to familiarize yourself with our new protocols, so you know what to expect when you visit us.
All visits are by appointment only. When you arrive to our parking lot, please pull into one of the numbered parking spots. You will see a sign that advises you to please text us that you have arrived, what spot you are in, and what color and make of vehicle you are driving (the number to text is given on the sign, for your convenience). One of our technicians will phone you to obtain a history- the reason for your visit, other pertinent details, and advise you that a concierge will be out shortly to get your pet. If it is a cat or small dog in a carrier, please place the carrier on the picnic table under the umbrella; if it is a larger dog, the concierge will come get the dog from you.
The pet will be taken inside (you will NOT be coming inside) , and wiped down with a damp cloth (to minimize this risk of any sharing of droplets. After the doctor has done the exam, you will be phoned to discuss the details, and discuss what is being recommended, expected costs, etc. We will make every effort to give you an accurate approximation of the time needed, and whether you should wait in the parking area, or can feel free to go home until your pet is ready to be released.
Please wear a mask and observe social distancing at all time!
If you are ill or experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay home, rest and get healthy, and ask someone who has not been near you to bring your pet in.
When your pet is ready to go home, we will call you. Payment is by credit card only, please- no handling of cash or checks.
A few main points to remember:
- We are here to help you and your pet, our patient.
- We are doing this in the safest way possible, according to recommendations from Public Health, to protect our very hardworking staff, our patients, and you.
- Please keep your cell phone with you and turned on, so we can reach you, and help avoid unnecessary delays.
- Payment is by credit card only.
We will continue to send out e-mails as the protocol changes, and please check this site as well!
Stay healthy! Stay safe!
